Tuesday, Febuary 19th Paul and Jason set off from the North western shore of Van Hook Arm of Lake Sakakawea at 1330 they traveled over 20 miles in sub-zero temps before reaching an abandon Ice house. They called to let me know it was really cold, I promptly let them know they were interrupting a home cooked meal and asked them if they could make their update quick as I needed to get back to my homemade brownie and hot chocolate. They were happy to oblige because the -25 degree temps had weakened their Sat phone battery and they wanted to save juice in case of an emergency.
